After the lesson, we all did a word search puzzle on different classroom items. In about the middle of the lesson a new kid who i had never met joined Simunye time. Even though I did not know him that well, we were best friends within 20 minutes. Telling You Story conference

Two years ago, my Uncle John hosted the Diagnosis to Discipleship conference at the Seed of Hope center. This year was the second part of a three-part teaching, this year it was called Telling Your Story. The conference was two days long. Registration started at 6:00 o’clock in the evening on Friday. Saturday was when the conference really took off. Starting Saturday mooring all the participants were called to create a time line of their lives on paper with the utensils provided to them.

When the Timeline was finished the next part of the conference was for them to write out there story by the information given to them on their time line. The third part of the conference was when all the people had to tell what they had written to their group. This was the real first step to actually getting up on stage and telling there story to all the participants. After all the stories were told to the groups were told they went on a tea break. My Uncle John gave them a extra long break so they could prepare for the next part of the conference called His Healing Your Story. This part of the conference was when all the participants worshiped and prayed with leaders for over an hour. While this was going on, I helped Karren set up there five star dinner. When the worship and praying was over, the final part of the conference began were ever one was to get up and actually tell there story to the hole group of participants . In the end ever person got up and told there story.

Once this was over all the participants were treated to a five star dinner that Karen and I prepared for everybody. When dinner was over, we gave a certificate and a gift bag to ever body in the conference. The gift bag contained of a journal a Verse Tag and a pen. After ever body received there gifts they went back into the simonya time room for a picture, after the picture was over Carl and a few other people dropped of a couple people from the conference to their houses, then we headed home and went to bed. Here are some pictures of the conference.

Simunye Time Day 4

don't mind the kids with the red comb in his hair... yeah I don't know

Today was my 4th day at Simunye Time, it started late so I went out and played with the kids for about an hour. A couple of the new friends I met taught me a game called touch, were one person is the touchier and he has to touch somebody else and then they are the touchier… the American game of Tag in other words . Once Simunye time was ready to start we all went inside and sat down on the floor there were no chairs. Because today was a shorter day, the teachers just read a story and asked random questions to the kids. While I was in Simunye Time, my uncle was teaching a cores called Live Out Load for teenagers 16 to 19. Simunye Time was done before Live out Load so I went to dinner with some new friends and then played soccer for a couple hours. Once my uncle was done, we headed home. Here are a couple pictures of day 4 in Simunye Time.

Simunye Time Day 3

Today was my third day in Simunye Time, and today was a all day health and hygiene lesson on chicken pocks and washing hands. The lesson lasted about an hour and a half. When the lesson was over, I helped the clean up then said good bye well they went to dinner. This lesson was more of a boring one, because the lesson was taught in Zulu, and I did not speak it, so I had no idea what they were talking about. All I heard was blalala chicken pocks, so I knew the lesson was on health and chicken pocks and a kid a met told me some of what they were talking about. Here are a couple pictures of the third day.

Simunye Time Day 2

Today was my second day at Simunye Time; it was a little more fun and active because today was an English lesson and a crossword puzzle at the end. Me being English I was very helpful to some of the kids with the English words and in the crossword puzzle, they did at the very end. Because the lesson was on clothes, the crossword puzzle had all different types of items of clothes on it. While I was, inter acting with the kids my uncle took pictures and shot some videos. Speaking of videos and photos here are some videos and photos of that day.
